The Village Pottery can be found in the quiet seaside Village of Old Field, NY. An experienced potter, formally educated as an anatomist, Lise Sasson has a passion for human and all organic form. A teacher, and Certified Art Therapy Practitioner, she has a passion for guiding students, individually, to a deeper, more meaningful understanding of their art and the natural world.

Along with small group camps (max. 4 students), we offer private learning sessions featuring wheel thrown, slab and hand built clay. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, we will guide you every step the way.

Join us for our quarterly specialized small group workshops, where you can dive into the world of surface design! Explore techniques including sgrafitto, stamping, carving, and underglaze transferring. Join us and craft your own unique pieces!

We also offer seasonal workshops exploring different methods of firing pottery. We offer raku, reduction (gas), soda, wood, and pit firing techniques. 

(At this time wood firing is offered as a field trip, offsite)
